Advocacy Efforts

Youth Advocate Program International supports the birth registration of children worldwide through our many contacts and partners in the international community working directly or indirectly on this issue.

YAP International Recent Stateless Children Advocacy Efforts:

• Provide introductory workshops on Stateless Children for interested organizations.

• Participated in Global Action Day, the world's largest lobbying day on behalf of children.

• Shared information with UNICEF, Plan International, Oxfam, and several other well respected organizations regarding the current status of Stateless Children and potential solutions.

• Participated in the CWLA/Deepalaya NGO Professional Exchange to India through the U.S. State Department to improve the international advocacy efforts of child rights and welfare organizations.

• Creating a new curriculum and support materials on Stateless Children for use in high schools.

• Developed a new user-friendly website with information on the issue of Stateless Children.

• Continue to increase attention and financial support to the issue of Stateless Children.
