YAP International has developed seven course curriculum modules on our various issues. They are simple to learn/use, take less than one hour to teach, are easily dowloadable, and are free. Please use them as often as you want.
Youth Advocate Program International introduces a new initiative to empower children and youth to advocate on behalf of children’s human rights. The Youth Human Rights Club (YHRC) program provides an avenue for children ages 18 and younger to carry out service, education and advocacy projects to assist youth in need.

We
have invested much of our time during the last
year in developing new resource materials. For
your use, we now have ten issue summaries (at
left), seven course curriculum modules and accompanying
PowerPoint presentations, eight new resource papers,
and a new website to better serve you. We welcome
you to use these resources. As with all of our
materials, they are free-of-charge.
For
your convenience, and by popular demand, we have
added a list of links to the full text of more than thirty international child protection conventions of modern history. We have also developed a glossary of common terms used in the child rights and protection arenas, for your convenience.
Due to the numerous requests for information regarding child trafficking, we have developed a new page on the issue that includes links to one of the most respected partners in the field: The Protection Project, Johns Hopkins University. We encourage you to visit this page, and our full page of links to dozens of other well-known and respected child rights and protection organizations.
Throughout the next year, the North America Consultation
Committee for the U.N. Global Study on Violence
Against Children will be collecting and compiling
information from children throughout North America
regarding violence today. A small group of NGOs,
including YAP International, has developed a plan
to coordinate and collect this data.

As
a member of the NGO Committee on UNICEF, we received
an advance report from a U.N. High-Level-Panel
on Civil Society relations. The report, with its
panel lead by former president Fernando H. Cardoso
of Brazil, is referred to as the "Cardoso-Report".
The report opens discussion on UN relationship
reform with its "constituencies", primarily
civil society organizations. In November, we met
with UNICEF to discuss the evolving NGO/UNICEF
role. - for more details

"I
"live" online and review thousands
of education-related sites every year. As
we find exemplary sites, we review them over
a period of several months, and I make the
final decisions (regarding our selection as
their site of the week)."
